I am pleased to announce that the Village of Palmetto Bay will take another step in going green by producing and distributing an all electronic official village newsletter. The Village will produce and mail at least one more traditional mailed newsletter, published and mailed, in part, to promote subscribing to the electronic newsletter.
Going electronic will not only save thousands of dollars in newsletter production, distribution, and postage – but it’s the right thing to do!

No longer will we waste paper and other resources.
No longer will we use tax-payer money in the process.
You will be able to read your village electronic newsletter anywhere you read your e-mail, at work, home or even while on vacation.
You will also be able to save import village information such as disaster preparedness information on your personal computer.
Palmetto Bay is taking full advantage of a much greener, smarter, and faster means of communications that is available right at our finger tips.
But first, we need to build a list of local subscribers. Not an easy task – that’s why I am asking for your help…
The Public Information Office of the Village of Palmetto Bay is developing the distribution list for the electronic-based newsletter and that will be distributed via e-mail to keep residents and business owners up to date on Village news and happenings. Following distribution of one final paper-based newsletter (The Voice of Palmetto Bay) in August 2008, we will transition immediately to an all-internet distribution. The first e-news should appear in subscriber’s electronic mail box in early fall.
