Campaign Events
I am going to update this section of the web site in the next few days and maintain it for a few weeks.  I want to thank my hundreds of supporters, donors and volunteers involved in this campaign.  Campaigns can be both exhausting and fun.  It is my hope that some of these photos may encourage others to get involved in the positive election process of this village.

Saturday, August 19, 2006, note from Annette Katz to the team:

Hello everyone:  Just wanted to let everyone know that we had a great morning today on four major intersections within the Village. More than 40 volunteers greeted motorists, walkers, bikers and others in a very successful Honk 'n Wave event today as we Continue Our Vision to Re-Elect Palmetto Bay Mayor Eugene Flinn.  A BIG THANK YOU to all our Honk 'n Wave volunteers.

Wearing Re-Elect Mayor Flinn T-Shirts and Buttons, the smiling folks were on the corners of SW 77th Ave and 152 Street; SW 77 Ave and 144 Street; SW 82 Ave and SW 152 Street and SW 87 Ave and 168 Street.

If you'd like to become part of the Honk 'n Wave brigade, please contact Bev Gerald at  \n This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it href="mailto: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it "> This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it  and she'll happily sign you up.  She'll also add you to our growing list of volunteers.

I'd also like to remind you about a couple of other things.

You can vote early starting Monday, August 21st. Our closest early voting site is the Coral Reef Library. You can vote from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Aug. 21 - 25. From Aug. 28 - Sept. 1, the hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  On the weekends it is open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ad on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mayor Flinn’s note:

My reelection campaign has been patterned after this Village government – significant involvement from many, many people.  We have a great time working together for common goals.  Please join us in both my reelection campaign as well as my next four years as Mayor of this outstanding village.

I do thank my fellow-residents for the support I have received at every village campaign event; the "meet & greets," "honk & waves," fundraisers and all the other events and activities that so many have held for me.

I also thank my Saturday (8/21) "honk & wavers" who campaigned for me while I advocated for our village residents at the Julio Robaina's Town Hall Meeting on the Windstorm Insurance issue held at Coral Gables High School.

I have posted several photos from various campaign events.  More photos will be added soon.  Please keep checking back – and I look forward to seeing your photo on this page soon!
